TUBA CITY, ARIZONA – The heroes being honored for their Courage, Sacrifice, and Duty is a big list. And the Western Navajo Fair is just about big enough to be a worthy honor.

14 Powwows

That list of heroes in the Armed Forces:
Marines
Army
Air Force
Navy and
Coast Guard.

That list of officer heroes:
Navajo Nation Police
Navajo Nation Rangers
Coconino County Sheriffs
Navajo Nation Emergency Medical Technicians and
Navajo Nation Fire Fighters.

But most of us come out to the Western Navajo Fair with the family to have fun. The big fun starts today, Kid's Day. Some highlights of the weekend events include:

Contest Powwow – Grand entries Friday at 7 pm
and Saturday at 2 pm and 7 pm.

Saturday morning at 9 am is the start of the Parade – Be at the high school pavilion or along main street.

The Song and Dance Contest – starts Saturday at 9 am for registration
Grand Entry 11 am and 6 pm
Cultural Performances and exhibitions – 6 pm
Sunday's Grand Entry is at 9 am.
