Three Powwows
COLLEGE PARK, MARYLAND - For the past six years, the University of Maryland community has embraced their annual powwow as being one of the most successful social action programs. Furthermore, some feel that was long overdue when it first began.
The 7th Annual Native American Indian Powwow will be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 10 am - 7 pm at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center, University of Maryland. The grand entry is at 11:00 am.
American Indians come from far and near to celebrate the wonderful history, dancing, drumming, singing and fellowship with others. The educational and art vendors have the most outstanding information and American Indian-made items, such as jewelry, dream catchers, baskets and drums.
This powwow is free with free parking in Lot 1. Door open at 10:00 am.
