College Park, Maryland The 8th Annual UMD Native American Indian Powwow will be held on Saturday at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center, University of Maryland. The University community has embraced the event as being one of the most successful social action programs.
Native Americans come from far and near to celebrate the wonderful history, dancing, drumming, singing and fellowship with others. The educational and art vendors have the most outstanding information and native made crafts. The event is hosted by the American Indian Student Union (AISU) and the University's Office of Multiethnic Student Education.
Powwow will be held on Saturday, December 8 from 10 am - 6 pm at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center, University of Maryland. The grand entry begins at 11 am.
Free Parking in the "I" ramp or by Metro, take the Green Line to College Park and take the UMD Shuttle Metro buses; Metro C2, C8, F6 and PG bus 17.
