OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA The Association of American Indian Physicians invites you to participate in the "Social Marketing and Community Engagement" Webinar on Thursday, November 29.
This webinar will present strategies for advertising your public health program and activities through social media, online, radio and television advertising. Participants will also be treated to a viewing of the Association of American Indian Physicians' obesity prevention campaign videos that are available through our Healthy, Active Native Communities Media Toolkits that is available online at the Association of American Indian Physicians website or via mail.
The Presenter, Randy Gibson, MA is the Program Liaison for the Cherokee Nation Healthy Nation. He is a Cherokee Nation citizen and native of Oklahoma, with more than 20 years of public relations and media management experience. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism - Public Relations in 1988 from the University of Oklahoma and his Master of Arts degree in Journalism - Media Management in 1991 from OU.
In 2002, Gibson returned to his hometown of Tahlequah, Oklahoma as the Executive Director of the Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Council. In 2005 he became the Communications Manager at the Cherokee Nation. In 2011, he was honored to become the Program Liaison for Cherokee Nation Healthy Nation where he has worked with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, US Health and Human Services, the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, Nike and other organizations in the formation of media partnerships.
