Internet Gaming
WASHINGTON - The US Senate Committee on Indian Affairs will conduct on Oversight Hearing on Internet gaming called "Future of the Internet Gaming: What's at Stake for Tribes" on Thursday, November 17.
The Committee will examine in increased interest in Internet gaming and what rights American Indian tribes may have in it. The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act allows for gaming on certain tribal trust properties.
Expert testimony will be provided by several witnesses, including Ernie Stevens, the chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association, based in Washington.
