US Senate Committee on Indian AffairsLive Webcast Thursday

WASHINGTON - The US Senate Committee on Indian Affairs will hold an oversight hearing on energy development in Indian Country Thursday afternoon.

Indian Country is full of natural resources that can contribute to the development of energy. While this is true, in the past some development of energy has left contamination that has contributed to poor health to American Indians in its aftermath.

Tribal leaders and others will offer expert testimony on how to properly develop energy on Indian land.
