He is the author of "Skeletons of a Bridge," a book of poetry and prose that was published in 1994 and a more recently book entitled, "Running Alone in Photographs."

Mirabal won Grammy's for "Sacred Ground: A Tribute to Mother Earth" and "Johnny Whitehorse Totemic Flute Chants."

Mirabel has traveled all over the world sharing his unique work, which combines his Pueblo roots with elements of Japanese Butoh dance, "cowboy poetry," Hawaiian chants, and Australian aboriginal culture.
