WASHINGTON As Indian Country's future leaders, it is important that Native youth are civically informed and prepared to engage in elections. Nearly half of the American Indian and Alaska Native population is under the age of 24. This is an important election year and an opportune time to engage youth and educate them about voting rights and civic responsibility.
