ISABELLA INDIAN RESERVATION – The focus of the missing four year old tribal member, Carnel Chamberlain has now shifted to the child's mother's boyfriend.

Carnel Chamberlain has been missing since 9:30 pm on Thursday evening. Yesterday, hundreds of concerned tribal citizens, employees of tribal operations and tribal enterprises volunteered to search tribal lands on the Isabella Indian Reservation.

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police Department is taking the lead on this case, with the assistance of the FBI.

“The mother has been fully cooperative in this developing investigation. The boyfriend, however, has not fully cooperated with the investigation, thus far,”

stated a news release issued this morning by the Tribe.

Volunteers are assembling at 12:30 pm, edt, to canvass a wooded area between the tribal administration offices and the family home. Future search efforts will be coordinated through the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police.

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe resides on the Isabella Indian Reservation and located in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, which is some 160 miles northwest of Detroit.
