INDIAN WELLS, CALIFORNIA - Navajo PGA golfer Notah Begay III will participate today with an all-star list at the Clinton Foundation's inaugural Health Matters: Activating Wellness in Every Generation conference at the Renaissance Esmeralda Indian Wells Resort & Spa near Palm Springs.
Begay will be on a panel entitled "Building Healthy Communities" from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm pst with actress Goldie Hawn, The Hawn Foundation; Susan Dell, founder of the Michael and Susan Foundation; Lakeysha Sowunmi, Mother; Annika Sorenstam, founder of the Annika Foundation. The panel will be moderated by Karolee Sowle, CEO of the Desert Regional Medical Center.
The event will bring together more than 200 stakeholders from the worlds of health care, public policy, business, education, individual wellness, and sports to identify strategies to promote and improve individual healthy lifestyles in the home, the community, and the workplace.
Health Matters immediately precedes the Humana Challenge PGA TOUR event in partnership with the William J. Clinton Foundation, formerly the Bob Hope Classic. The conference highlights the tournament's commitment to health and well-being, and builds on the work of the Clinton Foundation, which has a mission to improve global health, strengthen economies, protect the environment, and promote healthier childhoods through its Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
