5 Powwows
YPSILANTI, MICHIGAN - The Heritage of Healing Youth and Elders Conference for the Great Lakes Region will be held this Saturday. The event will be held at the Ypsilanti Senior & Community Center, 1015 Congress.
In the evening, the Native Youth Alliance will hold its Presidential Inaugural Powwow. This is the first in series of youth and elders conferences to be held every other month during 2012. Each conference will take place in a different location throughout Indian Country. The conference series will conclude with the Youth and Elders Conference to be held in conjunction with next year's Presidential Inaugural Powwow in Washington DC at the time of the Presidential Inaugural in January 2013.
The conference begins at 12 noon. The powwow will be held after dinner.
