LEESBURG, VIRGINIA - The Longest Walk 3 - Reversing Diabetes will be hosting a national diabetes summit from Tuesday, July 5 through Thursday, July 7 at the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center in Leesburg, Virginia.
Summit Begins
"A hundred years from now, let it be said; This is the generation that did something to stop diabetes among Indian people," said Dennis Banks as he discussed the reason why he planned and organized the Longest Walk 3 - Reversing Diabetes.
On Friday, the Long Walkers will walk into the nation's capital to bring the message of the devastating impact diabetes has among American Indians nationwide. This finish to the Longest Walk 3 is slated to attract American Indians from throughout Indian Country.
