Memorial Service July 15
Four year old Carnel Chamberlain's body was discovered last Thursday, one week after being reported missing from his family home.
A funeral for young Carnel will be held at a yet to be determined date since his body will not be turned over to his family by the FBI for another three to four months, according to Kevin Chamberlain, who is serving as the official spokesperson for the families.
“There is nothing we can do about this. After talking to the FBI, I am convinced to properly to investigate how he was murdered, it is going to take forensics that long to determine what may have happened,”
Chamberlain told the Native News Network.
Young Carnel is survived by his mother, Jaimee, 21, whose live-in boyfriend, Anthony M. Bennett, was arrested within an hour of the discovery of the body.
Bennett is being held on assault charges in Bay City.
