FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA - The Leonard Peltier Defense Offense Committee is calling for a mass call-in to CNN, beginning at 10 am edt this Monday, July 11 on behalf of Leonard Peltier, who has been in federal prison for the past 35 years.

“Shut CNN down until they realize they have a story,”

the committee writes in a released statement. The committee requests that tell CNN they want coverage of the story of Leonard Peltier who was placed in Administrative Detention - "the hole" - since June 27 for two minor infractions.

Peltier was placed in solitary confinement for allegedly:

"A woman in the UK mailed a 'Scottish bank note' which was actually delivered to him by prison officials, and a light switch that had been tampered with by a cellmate some time ago," according to his attorney, Robert R. Bryan of San Francisco in a communication to the Native News Network earlier this week.

Peltier is considered a political prisoner by many American Indians throughout the United States and many non-Indians worldwide.
