Litefoot to Giveaway 4,000 Native Style T-shirts at Lakota Nation Invitational

RAPID CITY - Award winning American Indian actor and singer Litefoot, Cherokee, will highlight an evening of celebration at the 35th Annual Lakota Nation Invitational at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center with a speech of hope to Native youth. The event begins at 4:30 pm mst.

In addition to speaking, Litefoot is giving away 4,000 Native Style T-shirts to the youth.

"This is the third year we have given away our Native Style Clothing to youth at the Lakota Nation Invitational in conjunction with Chairman Ernie Stevens, Jr. of the National Indian Gaming Association,"

commented Litefoot to the Native News Network.

"It's an honor to give gifts at this time of the year and bring smiles to the faces of our youth who have come from all over the plains to participate at Lakota Nation Invitational."

Litefoot is well known for his role in "Indian in the Cupboard" motion picture.

"The message I will deliver to audiences gathered at Lakota Nation Invitational is to live the life the Creator brought you to this Earth to live, "

he continued.

“When we follow the path the Creator has for us, we each fulfill our own unique destiny and in the process help others.”

In addition to Litefoot, NBA Hall of Famer Bill Russell will speak at the event. Russell, former Boston Celtic, is considered one of the best basketball players of all time.
