Gathering of Warriors Powwow to Honor Career Veterans

KESHENA, WISCONSIN – 23rd Annual Gathering of Warriors Powwow opens Friday evening May 18 at 6:30 pm with the blessing of grounds and the raising of the family flags. This year the powwow sponsored by the Veterans of the Menominee Nation is honoring career military veterans.

Ten Great Powwows this Weekend

Grand Entries are 1 pm and 7 pm Saturday and Sunday at 12 noon.

Following the honoring ceremony for career veterans the crowning of the Veterans of the Menominee Nation Princess will take place. Veterans, their families and all of us from the great community are welcome to one of the most beautiful and rare forested areas left within the state of Wisconsin.

Veterans, honor guard units in uniform, elders and children age 5 years old and younger are free. Admission is $5.00 a day or $8.00 for the weekend.
