March 24
LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission is seeking sponsorships to send low-income families to a NBA game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Memphis Grizzlies.
Saturday, March 24 is the date set for the game that is billed as the Clippers Native American Heritage Day.
There will be American Indian singing and dancing before and at half time.
"This is not a fundraiser. All funds and tickets will be distributed to low income families with attention on children who are in the Indian Child Welfare Act program,"
said Ronald Andrade, director of the Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission.
The sponsors are asked to purchase ten tickets or more for $15 each. Sponsors will identified on the main screen and other display boards throughout the game. All tickets donated will be tax deductable.
"We recognize that many of you are not in the area but you may have family or friends who will enjoy the event so purchase any amount of tickets as a donation,"
commented Andrade.
Please contact Ron Andrade at 805-404-1490 or Lauren Kimball, Group Events Coordinator with the Los Angeles Clippers at 213-763-4617 for more information.
The game is scheduled for 3:00 pm pst.
