WASHINGTON Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will visit the Fort Berthold Reservation in North Dakota today to make a major announcement regarding energy development on tribal lands.

Joining Secretary Salazar will be Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs Del Laverdure, Bureau of Indian Affairs Director Mike Black and Three Affiliated Tribes Chairman Tex Hall.
The announcement is part of President Barack Obama's efforts to expand domestic energy production and strengthen American Indian communities, according to a spokesperson at the Department of the Interior.
