POWWOW Calendar MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN - The 7th Annual Hunting Moon Powwow will take place this weekend at the Potawatomi Bingo Casino's third floor Expo Center in Milwaukee.
Eight Powwows for the Delight of Spectors
The powwow begins Friday, October 21 and will end on Sunday, October 23.
This is a contest powwow which will payout $90,000.
Certain to be the main attraction, the dancing competitions are a treat for the eyes - from the intricate footwork and graceful movements to the beautiful regalia worn by the dancers, spectators will delight in these traditional dances. The drumming and singing are a splendor for the ears, the rich sounds evoking deep meaning.
And, of course, as in years past, spectators can enjoy a variety of vendors. From Native American arts and crafts to traditional foods to try, there is plenty to check out at this one-of-a-kind event.
