HARTFORD, MICHIGAN - Calling the opening of the Four Winds Hartford casino "another step towards independence to improve the quality of life for the tribal members of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians," Chairman Matt Wesaw helped to cut the ribbon on Monday.

Four Winds Hartford is officially open. The new casino is located at 68600 Red Arrow Highway, Hartford, Michigan.

Hartford, Michigan is located 115 miles from Chicago, Illinois; 172 miles from Detroit; 81 miles from Grand Rapids and 45 miles northeast of the Tribe's flagship Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan, which opened in 2007. The Tribe announced the expansion of nine-story hotel tower with 250 additional rooms that once completed will bring the total of hotel rooms at the New Buffalo location to 415.
