The Native CDFIs will be a part of "The Leadership Journey: Native CDFI Growth & Excellence" training series for two years, during which time they will develop leadership skills and resources to further staff growth and increase organizational performance.

One Native CDFI selected is Northern Shores Loan Fund, Inc., owned by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, based in Harbor Springs, Michigan.

“The selection of Northern Shores Loan Fund Inc. to participate in such a comprehensive, Native CDFI focused training program alongside other experienced Native CDFI practitioners across the country is a great opportunity,”

stated Lisa McComb, executive director of the Northern Shores Loan Fund, Inc.

“This training will bring added skills and knowledge to our organization that can only enhance the existing services that we provide, ultimately assisting entrepreneurs and economic development in the six counties we serve in Northern Michigan. We look forward to the Leadership Journey and appreciate being selected from such a strong pool of applicants.”
