CHICAGO - The work of the American Indian Association to reverse the drop-out rate of American Indian students was featured Monday by public television's WTTW Chicago.

“Over one half of all our children drop-out of school every year”

Said American Indian Association founder, Dr. Dorene Wiese, Ojibwe.

The "Chicago Tonight" segment highlights the American Indian Urban Education Institute Program of prevention and remediation for elementary age children and the GED (high school equivalency) programs for youth and adults who have already dropped out of school.
