CHICAGO - NFL player Levi Horn (Northern Cheyenne), who plays for the Chicago Bears, will join the Longest Walk 3 - Reversing Diabetes, as the Longest Walk makes its way into downtown Chicago on Wednesday.

The Longest Walk’s northern route has been in Chicago since Monday and will leave for Indiana on Thursday on its way to Washington, DC. The Longest Walk’s northern route began in Portland, Oregon on February; it will conclude on July 7, 2011.
Diabetes, which earlier this year, the Center for Disease Control indicated that in some areas of the United States, diabetes afflicts as high as 33 percent of some American Indian communities. American Indians are four times as likely to lose a limp to amputation as the result of the disease than their Caucasian counterparts.
The Long Walkers walked in other parts of Chicago on Tuesday.
