QB Sam Bradford-Cherokee
Native Brief: ST. LOUIS - Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, a tribal member of the Cherokee Nation, who was injured in last week's season opener is listed as the probable starter in tonight's nationally televised game when the Rams play the New York Giants.
Bradford's right index finger was injured during the fourth quarter a week ago Sunday in the Rams' 31-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Bradford lost feeling in the finger and said after the game the pain isn't overbearing, but he did not have motion in the finger. An x-ray show the finger was not broken; however it is bruised.
The Rams website lists Tight End Billy Bajema as the emergency quarterback behind Bradford and AJ Feeley.
Bradford was rookie the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the year for the 2010 season. He won the Heisman Trophy in 2008 when he played for the Oklahoma Sooners.
