COLLINSVILLE, OKLAHOMA The Cherokee Nation is sponsoring the Moonlight Run, a 5K competitive run and 1K fun run to benefit Collinsville City Park improvements on Friday, June 8, as part of the Tribe's Wings series of races.

“The Collinsville Moonlight Run will be a great family event that will actually benefit the city parks,”
said Ronnie Neal, Cherokee Nation public health educator and race director.
“Our goal is to create healthier environments, and proceeds from this event will go toward park improvements that will benefit all Collinsville residents and visitors alike.”
Race preregistration is $15 for the 5K and $10 for the 1K. Registration on race day is $20 for the 5K and $15 for the 1K. Proceeds benefit Collinsville City Park.
Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. at Sallee Football Field north of Highway 20 on Garnett Road. The race starts at 8:45 p.m. The first 500 people to register receive a race t-shirt. Go to steps.Cherokee.org for a race form. For more information, call 918-407-3867 or email ronnie-neal@cherokee.org.
Wings is a club sponsored by the Cherokee Nation's Healthy Nation Program to promote activity, good eating habits and education in support of healthy lifestyles. It is free to join, and anyone living within the Cherokee Nation may sign up at any time.
