TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA Cherokee Nation citizens eager to start a new business but need help learning the ropes for writing a successful business plan can take an entrepreneurship class that starts next month.
Starting July 10th
A business loan counselor from Cherokee Nation's Commerce Department is hosting workshops from 6 pm to 8 pm July 10, 17, 24 and 31 in the Osiyo Training Room, 17675 S. Muskogee Avenue in Tahlequah.
The course covers writing mission statements, executive summaries, marketing strategies and budgets for a basic business plan, along with goals that owners want to achieve. Owners can better secure bank loans and investments, manage resources, focus on key points and prepare for problems with a solid business plan in place.
