ISABELLA INDIAN RESERVATION Tribal Police will not confirm that the body, believed to be that of 4 year old Carnel Chamberlain, was discovered. under the porch of his home on the Tomah Street. Police have the neighborhood closed off to the public at this hour. Native News Network is on the scene to confirm the reports.

the child's body was found this afternoon.
Since Saturday the case had increasingly turned away from a child who had wandered off into the woods toward a suspicion of foul play.
“The case is still considered 'suspicious' at this point,”
according to a news release that was released on Monday afternoon by the the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan.
Young Carnel was in the care of his mother’s boyfriend, Anthony M. Bennett, 20, who is a tribal member, while she was working. The child's mother, Jaimee Chamberlain, reported Carnel missing at 10:12 pm after she arrived home from working at the nearby Soaring Eagle Casino restaurant.
Since Saturday morning, Bennett has been considered a "person of interest" by law enforcement. Though Bennett is a person of interest, he has not been arrested.
Carnel Chamberlain Found Dead
Tribal communications department offered conflicting information. this morning. First denying they had information about the discovery. Then, almost immediately after directing the Native News Network to a the FBI.
The Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police department was serving as the lead law enforcement agency. The Chamberlain home is on Indian trust land. The FBI is part of the investigation, as well as other law enforcement agencies from around Michigan.
On Monday night, a Michigan newspaper reported, a warrant was issued to search and obtain certain items from the Chamberlain home. Neighbors reported law enforcement officers carried out boxes.
