'A Good Day to Die' Part of Lineup for 11th Annual Native Cinema Showcase

SANTA FE - The National Museum of the American Indian and Southwestern Association for American Indian Arts are presenting the "11th Annual Native Cinema Showcase" in Santa Fe. The week-long film festival is being held during Indian Market in Santa Fe, beginning on Monday, August 15 and ending on Sunday, August 21.

'A Good Day to Die' is part of the packed attractions scheduled during the cinema showcase. It will be shown on Tuesday at 3 pm.

A Good Day to Die, Dennis BanksThe life of Dennis Banks

'A Good Day to Die' is an award-winning film that presents an intimate look at the life of Dennis Banks, who co-founded the American Indian Movement in 1968. It recounts his early experience in Indian boarding schools, through his military service in Japan and the confrontational actions in Washington DC; Custer and Wounded Knee that changed the lives of American Indians forever.

The Native Cinema will be held at the New Mexico History Museum, 113 Lincoln Avenue in Santa Fe.
