Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians

On Day 4 of the Longest Walk 3 - Reversing Diabetes left the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians reservation on its way to the Morongo Band of Mission Indians. Accompanying the Long Walkers on a leg of its daily journey were some 350 people. Tribal school officials gave students the morning off of school to participate in the historic Longest Walk.

In this picture Dennis Banks is seen wearing a bear claw necklace standing among tribal officials and school children. This photograph was taken from a back of a truck as the Long Walkers posed during a break in walking about 4 miles outside of the tribal headquarters.

The Soboba Band had housed the Long Walkers the previous evening and gave them tee shirts for their journey.
